"Orange and White Sparks"

"Orange and White Sparks", Multi-media on canvas, 24"x 18", Sold

Hi friends. Abstract paintings with reds and oranges seem to be my favorite these days. Here's the latest, "Orange and White Sparks".
My other abstract paintings were done with oil paints. This one was created with many media - watercolor, acrylic, collage, and oil - roughly in that order. This painting has lots of texture, which you can see when you click on the image. Some of the texture comes from the acrylic painting and collage underneath, and some comes from the oil painting on top. Most of the 'sparks' were painted with oil paint on top of the underlying texture. It was great fun to paint. I hope it's also fun to look at.

Thanks for visiting!

Wow Holly! Fascinating series of abstracts you've been creating. I imagine the color is very luminous in person; the paintings seem to glow. Interesting variety of media that you used on this one.

It's so full of energy and dance - wow indeed. I can only imagine the glow and sparks in real life.

A very beautiful piece. There are those that think these easy. Not so but you make it look easy by creating one beautiful piece after another.
