"Quiet Morning"

"Quiet Morning", Oil on canvas, 18" x 24", Available

This painting, "Quiet Morning" was inspired by a photo taken in Vietnam by my friend Veronique Gillard. Thanks Veronique! I've spent a lot of time in Asia, both for pleasure and business, and when I saw the photo it struck a chord. I loved the sense of quiet, and the sense of depth created by the receding mountains.

Most of "Quiet Morning" was painted with my favorite palette knife, with a brush used for some of the smaller details.

Did I capture the sense of quiet of the lone boater?

Time alone in nature is so valuable. Perhaps quiet can only be heard then. Yes, you captured it in this painting. Beautiful piece. I like your work and I'll be following.
